ANNOUNCEMENT TO AWARD A RESEARCH GRANT TO A PHD STUDENT
The Structural Composites Research group of the Institute for Sustainability and Innovation in Structural Engineering (ISISE), University of Minho, Portugal, is opening a research grant for PhD Students to develop research activities within the I&D Project IN2TRACK3, financed by the EU.
The research activities: development of FEM-based constitutive model for tunnel strengthening with advanced shotcrete technology using fibre reinforced concrete, its implementation in an in-house software, and assessment of its predictive performance.
Necessary qualifications: MSc degree in Civil Engineering or related field, with background in FEM and in a scientific computer language.
Recipients: Students of PhD Programme in Civil Engineering at the University of Minho (proof of registration should be provided at the time of the contract processing).
Application deadline and form of submission of applications: The call is open from 14/05/2021 to 27/05/2021.
Applications must be made through an application letter together with the following documents: Curriculum Vitae, certificates of graduation degrees with grades (or additional transcript of grades) or a Declaration of Honour; document proving enrollment in PhD (if applicable at the date of application); letter of interest.
