The 2020 impact factor of the journal NPJ 2D Materials and Applications, founded by initiative of NOVA School of Science and Technology | FCT NOVA, through the Department of Materials Science, rose to 11.1.
Launched in 2016, the journal belongs to the Nature Partner Journals series, in a partnership between Springer/Nature group, NovaID FCT and NOVA School of Science and Technology | FCT NOVA , whose founder was Professor Rodrigo Martins and has as one of the main editors, Professor Luís Pereira of DCM- FCT|NOVA, now CTO of AlmaScience.
After having obtained last year its first impact factor (9.324 referring to the year 2019), this announcement demonstrates the correct bet that was made, where it is clear the growing relevance and attractiveness of the magazine, assuming itself already as a reference among the scientific community in the area of "two-dimensional" functional materials.
