Barbie in partnership with Professor Elvira Fortunato, from FCT / NOVA, launched the “Girls in Science powered by Barbie” program. Created within the scope of Dream Gap, a global initiative that seeks to combat inequality and positively influence the women of tomorrow, the project gives an opportunity for a secondary school student to receive a scholarship, worth 3,000 €, to enter in any FCT / NOVA Science and / or Technology course.
Barbie, considered the best toy brand of 2020 by the NPD Group, joined Professor Elvira Fortunato, scientist, researcher and professor at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (FCT), to launch the “Girls” program in Science powered by Barbie ”.
