Professor Elvira Fortunato is the winner of Portugal's Women's Leadership Award. This international award aims to distinguish women all over the world who stand out in different areas of activity. In Portugal, the choice fell on Elvira Fortunato, recognising the pioneering work of the researcher and Vice-Rector of NOVA University of Lisbon in the area of Science and Technology.
The award was delivered on October 29th, in the scope of the "Global Summit of Women", taking place in Lisbon, from October 28th to 30th, organized by The GlobeWomen Research and Education Institute.
"I am delighted to receive this international award. In addition to the recognition of the work I have developed over the years in the area of sustainable materials where paper electronics is included, it is also a way to promote gender equality, which has been a strong bet of NOVA University of Lisbon in recent years", says Professor Elvira Fortunato.
